Archived from groups: rec>boats (more info?)

I just spent the entire summer with my new Chap. So far not only am I in
love with this boat for what I want it to do but my friends agree as well
(and they do pay me voluntarily for gas). It has a 5.0 Merc and no
problems with the engine either. I use it mostly for water sking but didnt
want a true ski boat because I like to camp on it as well and have the
ablility to get in a cabin and have some fun on the water too Smile ...
anyway.. with 2 people and about a 1/2 tank of gas I was able to get her up
to 51mph and thats plenty fast for me. I have learned that I dont want to
fill up the 56 gallon tank for us skiiers so I only fill it half full. Once
I get fully into wakeboard I may try to fill it again for added wake. She
handles very well and its a breeze for me to put it in alone (i have also
had many years of boating experience) if you dont have a lot of idiots at
the ramp like I encounter many times but thats another post Smile.

If anyone else out there has the same boat I would like to hear from you as
well on your thoughts on your boat...

Ski ya later,
Mark
