Last week, Obama had a 1.+ percentage point lead over Romney in Real
Clear Politics' average of the major national polls. At the moment, it
is better than a 3.5+ point lead. The lead is creeping up. My guess is
that Obama will squeak out a one or two percentage point victory in the
vote total, but a substantial victory in the Electoral College.

Romney is a weak candidate and so far he doesn't seem to be able to
extricate himself from the crevasses into which he has fallen.
